Irish Mist Pictures

There were so many members over the years I was with this band

This is circa 1981 ...our "fluffy shirt" stage
The first version of the band when I joined in the summer of 1977 had Marjie Delaney on vocals, Joe Whyte (RIP) on accordion, Joe Glynn on Guitar and lead vocals, Charlie Carchedi on bass guitar (who is actually an  incredible guitarist) and me. We were the house band at a club called the Blarney Stone in a bad...bad...bad part of Boston MA called "Fields Corner" ...It was steady three nights a week ...150 nights a year ...what an education and it paid to put me through Berklee. I used to take the subway to the gig and a cab back home. I had the same cab driver every night, a great guy.  I saw more than my share of "beat the crap out of each other " fights ...many of which were right on the dance floor.

Cover of the Mist's 1997 CD

I have had the opportunity to be on a number of recordings.
Here is a look at the cover of the Irish Mist's 1999 CD

On this recording was Joe Glynn, Alan Hayes, McGregor McGhee and me.

The title track features Paddy Keenan on pipes and wood flute.
The CD line up features some former members of the band, Charlie Carchedi on guitar, John Conneely on Accordion ( one on my favorite performers) and Clyde Cortwright ( he played all the instruments on "My Son").

Copies are rare, but they are still available, please contact me for more information.
